Scottie is looking for the chance to be a part of a winning team. Is your family the one for him?

     Scottie, 8/9/90
Scottie is an intelligent, engaging, and articulate boy who loves attention from adults. He relates better to adults than he does to peers. He usually makes one good friend at a time, but can entertain himself well. He likes being outdoors and enjoys sports. He enjoyed playing on an organized football team last fall and would like to do that again. Scottie made great improvements at school this past year and attends regular classes. Scottie does have to work hard to stay on task, but he is on grade level. Medication does help him stay focused a little better.

The family for Scottie will need to spend time with and play with him. They should be consistent, structured, encouraging, fun, loving, and patient. Scottie needs to be the only or youngest child in the family.

Dustin needs a patient and loving family. Is that family you?

Dustin, 10/25/91
Dustin is a cheerful, impish little boy. He likes peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, and steak. He travels well and likes to go to church. He enjoys swimming and playing with remote-controlled cars. Dustin especially likes to be cuddled and does not like change. Dustin needs very simple and specific instructions in all things. He can dress himself but needs help tying his shoes and brushing his hair. Dustin has major developmental and emotional delays and is in a self-contained class at school where he has an individual aide.

The family for Dustin would need to be willing to provide long-term therapy and supervision. He should be the only or youngest child in the family. Dustin is a very trusting young man who needs a family who will encourage his trust and protect him. He needs a very structured, consistent home with clear, well-defined boundaries.
